‘Where you stumble and fall, there you will find gold.' Joseph Campbell
'The Camino Provides’ is an often-used expression to indicate you’ll receive what you need, when you need it. But what about those moments when ‘the Camino doesn’t provide’? Perhaps:
You experienced a moment of humility
You discovered an inner resilience you were never aware of
You felt fully ‘alive’; accepting life’s reality - ‘it is as it is’
You recognised your ‘real’ needs
You felt connected to ‘something larger than yourself’
You exercised and strengthened your ‘muscles of trust and patience’
You later realised that the Camino, by not ‘providing’, actually ‘provided’
What have been your experiences when your ‘needs’ were not met?
